Indianapolis is experiencing a significant evolution as its vibrant, master-planned downtown is expanding in more ways than one. With $2+ billion underway in tourism-related infrastructure, Indy will soon welcome an 800+ room Signia by Hilton hotel connected to a 235,000 sq ft. expansion of the Indiana Convention Center.
Infrastructure for Indy’s Indiana University Hospital (IU Health) is also improving as a new facility is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2027. This $2.3 billion project (as seen in the photo) will reshape access to healthcare for all Hoosiers. By creating a “green” campus, IU Health will save $8 million by reducing carbon emissions via LEED-certified buildings. The benefits of this world-class medical campus will extend beyond the confines of the buildings, as IU Health is creating a downtown health district, which will further increase the quality of life for residents.
