As of 2025, Indianapolis is the third most populous city in the American Midwest and 16th most populous city in the U.S. Indy is known for its connected convention package because it offers one of the most walkable downtowns in the U.S., with major hotels, the convention center, and entertainment districts all linked by climate-controlled skywalks.
